Jennifer J. Hayes, LCSW-BACS, CST

Hi, my name is Jen and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist providing evidenced-based therapy services in the New Orleans area. I specialize in gender-affirming therapy services for members of the LGBTQ+ community, including those who are transitioning, struggling with or exploring gender identity, are friends and family of LGBTQ+, and anyone in need of gender or sexual orientation-related therapeutic services.

Couples and Sex Therapy

In addition to individual psychotherapy, I also offer couples (relationship) therapy and sex therapy. Couples Therapy typically addresses issues with intimacy, communication, and problem solving, but can also assist with teaching couples (or those in polyamorous or open relationships) ways to achieve resolution and healing in many other areas as well. Sex Therapy is a specialized type of psychotherapy that specifically addresses sexual function, intimacy, desire, arousal, and concerns about unwanted sexual experiences. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like more information regarding Sex or Relationship Therapy.

Not LGBTQ+?

All are welcome. I offer assessment and treatment for anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health needs. My main treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness training.

Currently not accepting new patients. Waiting list is available.

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021:
No Surprises Act (effective Jan 1, 2022) and Good Faith Estimate Notice

The following Good Faith Estimate Notice is to comply with the No Surprises Act. The Act requires providers inform their uninsured and private pay patients that they have a right to a “Good Faith Estimate” to help them estimate the expected charges they may be billed.

Notice to patients and prospective patients:

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Hayes Therapy will provide you an electronic copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
